Fairview 14 Centennial 2

The Fairview Lady Jackets extended thei winning streak to 3 games with a 14-2 win over Centennial. It was scoreless through the first 3 innings with neither team managing to get runners on base. In the top of the Marti Ann Spicer started things with a single, after 2 walks Makalea Greathouse had a RBI single. Later in the inning freshman Gracie Shelby had a single to drive in a run and senior Jessie Mangrum drove in 2 with a double. The Jackets plated 6 in the 5th inning with the highlight being Heather Simmons single that drove in 2 more runs. Centennial scored 2 runs in their half of the 5th for the final score of 14-2. Freshmen Emmi Mangrum helped the Jacket cause with 3 stolen bases.  Alli Mazaell, Lexie Beasley and Shelby Dunn each scored 2 runsMarti Ann Spicer picked up her third win of the season striking out 9 of the Cougar players.

The Lady Jackets will be off till 3/25 when we will play Perry County at 3 o'clock in the opening game of the Buffalo River Invitational Tournament.
